Maybe you were unaware, but possession of and/or the attempt to sell debris from the space shuttle Challenger is in violation of Title 18, Section 641 of the U.S. Code, Theft of Government Property, which is subject to a maximum $10,000 fine, 10 years in prison or a combination of both. NASA has pursued and prosecuted eBay sellers in the past for even fake pieces of Challenger as acts of fraud. Fortunately, NASA is also most of the time willing to forego charges if you cooperate and voluntarily turn over the suspected debris. You should contact the NASA Office of the Inspector General (OIG) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 321-867-4714 to begin procedures for handing over the suspected debris.
